Writer’s Block or Creative Protest?

If not for pictures like the one below, my first inclination would be to say that the writers on strike just want to force time off so they can hang out and do nothing! Come on, now… we all know that some of the most brilliant minds reside within the laziest procrastinators on the planet. In all seriousness, I think it is good to put the corporation’s feet to the fire, I just wonder how long they’ve been in “negotiation” on this issue before they decided to strike and ruin thousands of family vacations.
